Didier Guerandelle is a self-taught artist-painter-plastic artist who lives and works in La Rochelle. He was inspired by the expressionist movement, but also by pop art and street art. A sensitive child, painting very early became the voice of his emotions.

 

Didier Guerandelle paints as he breathes, viscerally, instinctively. It transcends codes, not part of any traditional artistic journey. Painting is his raw material which he explores, reshuffles, deconstructs, layers on paper, tears, scans, photocopies, crumples, caresses, heals, heals.
